Local Gospel artist; Sifaniso has been nominated for Best Songwriter and Best Praise Album at this year's Crown Gospel Awards. Akehluleki is Sifaniso's debut album which was released in 2010 under Shammah Records (owned by award winning musical couple, Tshepo Mngoma and Swazi Dlamini). Since then, it has reaped much success having won last year's Best Jazz album at the 2010 Crown Gospel Awards.

The widely acclaimed album received and continues to receive national media airplay on a number of radio stations including; Gagasi FM, Metro FM, SAFM., Ukhozi FM, Link FM, KNI Radio, Highway FM, Inanda FM, Radio Impact. TV appearances include: Gospel Gold, and 1Gospel where his music video is on rotation. and he has also been featured in print magazines and newspapers such as; Drum Magazine, mio.co.za, Ilanga, Isolezwe, and many more.

Since the release of his album, Sifaniso has performed in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Pretoria where he has been welcomed with open arms. As well as spreading his ministry through South Africa, Sifaniso hopes to venture out into overseas markets early next year.

He has worked not only as a solo artist, but works as a musical director which saw him co-create a show which brought 18 South African artists to Australia for a three week music tour. The tour (Collaboration 4 Change) created national media exposure including: performing at the MCG, being featured on The Today Show and collaborating with Australian rock band Evermore on a song titled “Lay your weapons down”. Having studied jazz and popular music at the renowned UKZN Music School, his knowledge of music is evident through out his album. He has also taught many students through the BAT Centre Artist Programme and he is passionate about sharing that knowledge.

Sifaniso's debut album will be hitting Aussie shores very soon. It will be available at Koorong Christian bookstores within the next few weeks. Pre-orders can be made on the email below: jade.gallop@gmail.com To sample the album visit www.facebook.com/sifaniso

We have some great plans for the future which include touring, recording and we know that South Africa and now Australia will continue to be blessed and inspired by Sifaniso's talent and genuine heart for worship.

All in all, we're very proud of our home- grown artist we wish him the best of luck and God's grace on the 6th of November at the South African Crown Gospel Music Awards!
